Remote workers are an essential part of your business, and while they may not be accounted for physically, their well-being and safety is very important to the overall health of your business. If a major disaster strikes, what plans does your business have for making sure work can continue? If the event happens to your physical location, is there a plan to move operations off-site? What if the incident is isolated to a city that impacts a few of your most important remote worker? Will you know how to reach them to get details and offer support? Emergency plans will never be perfect, they can only be fully tested in the event of a major incident, but having a plan is better than no plan at all.
