Want to be more creative? Take a hike.

Creativity is one of those hard to quantify, elusive human qualities. How many hours does it take to draw a bridge? Are you including the thought process before or after the pencil hits the paper? What if the idea strikes in the middle of a hike? Does that count?

It is believed that walking can help creativity as it pertains to divergent thinking, where many solutions are needed for one problem. The opposite may be true for convergent thinking, which requires focus to arrive at one solution.
